DeMeritt Hall Project Timeline

New DeMeritt Hall SouthfacadeFall 2004 – Oak Point Associates (Portsmouth, NH) is hired to do building assessment, programmatic review and test fit. They gather information from Physics Department concerning programmatic needs.

December 2005 – Architerra Inc. (Boston , MA) chosen to do building design and provide architectural and engineering design services.  Rist-Frost-Shumway (Laconia, NH) are the engineering consultants for the building design.

Spring 2006 – Schematic Design –getting a general sense of how the spaces will be organized

Summer 2006 – Design Development -

Fall 2006- Winter 2007 – Construction Documents – creation of detailed plans for construction

March 16, 2007 – Construction Bids due

Spring 2007 – Experimentalists move to swing space

May 24-25 2007 – Offices, classrooms, and teaching labs move into swing space

June 2007 – Abatement of hazardous materials.

Summer 2007 – Demolition (no – there will not be any explosives!)

Summer 2007-Summer 2008 – construction begins

August 1, 2008 – move back in for classes in fall 2008
