Entrepreneurial Campus
The Entrepreneurial Campus was conceived as a place where UNH researchers could develop new technologies side by side with people from industry, state government, federal government, other universities and local communities.
After conducting research on campus, an industrial partner might go off to an industrial park and spin out a company or add a production line or new product.
Gregg Hall
The cornerstone of the new campus, Gregg Hall, was officially dedicated in May 2004. The Jere Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory also houses research groups associated with the campus. A number of the research groups in both buildings already have strong partnerships with the private sector.
"By locating the Office of Intellectual Property Management and the N.H.
Industrial Research Center in the Entrepreneurial Campus, the university
is providing a wide range of support services to companies and innovators
interested in 'technovation,'" says Taylor Eighmy, faculty fellow in the
UNH
Office of the Vice President for Research and Public Service.
