What do electrical and computer engineers do?

Electrical and computer engineers are responsible for developing many of the technological advances we take for granted--from the microwave oven to the Internet, from laser surgery to missile defense systems, from to cell phones to special effects in movies. Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Computer engineers do similar work with the hardware, software, and networks in computer systems.
