Computer Science Careers
What do computer scientists do?
Computer scientists are engaged in all aspects of the design, implementation, and application of computers. They are concerned with problem solving in general, with particular emphasis on the design of computer-efficient solutions. To arrive at a seemingly simple answer, however, computer scientists must have a firm understanding of complex concepts: algorithms, programming languages, and operating systems, to name a few. At UNH, computer science students work mostly with softwarethe programs that run computers.
