CEPS Student Project Fund
The CEPS Student Project Fund is established at the University of New Hampshire Foundation, Inc. to provide a source of funding for CEPS undergraduate students pursuing multidisciplinary, team-based projects that promote the educational mission of the College. The purpose of the fund is to encourage our students to collaborate with peers from different academic disciplines. Awards will be administered through the CEPS Dean’s Office. Please contact Matt Carlyon, Associate Director of Major Gifts, UNH Foundation (matt.carlyon@unh.edu) to become involved.
Pictured is the UNH WildCatSat team during the April 23, Undergraduate Research Conference Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Symposium held at Kingsbury Hall. WildCatSat is a team devoted to designing, building, and testing a satellite the size of a soda can and then competing against various universities in the annual CanSat competition. CanSat is a competition organized by the American Astronautical Society (AAS). WildCatSat, a recognized senior project, is a multidisciplinary team consisting of electrical and mechanical engineering students interested in space-related engineering. The project provides its participants project management skills and priceless hands-on experience in the complete life-cycle of a complex engineering project.
UNH has a great reputation for creating legacy projects. WildCatSat hopes to follow in the footsteps of the more mature projects by planting a seed in this unexplored area of research and competition at the AAS annual CanSat.
