CEPS Alumni Society Membership

As you have probably heard, “something new is underway at UNH” in alumni affairs.

The Alumni Association will no longer ask alumni to pay membership dues. You and your fellow alumni will be members of the UNH Alumni Association and the UNH community by virtue of having attended our university.

UNH is taking this step because in order for the university to reach its potential, its graduates need to become actively involved. A force of 120,000 alumni all working on a common cause can make a real difference.

The CEPS Alumni Society Board, after much discussion, has adopted a new membership policy that is more in line with the new UNH Alumni Association membership policy.

In lieu of yearly dues, you will be a member if you have: CEPS Alumni are invited to join the CEPS Alumni Society

This policy will become effective January 2010.  As a current member of the CEPS Alumni Society, you already have demonstrated your strong commitment to the college and UNH, and I am very grateful. Your support has been, and remains, irreplaceable.

Some of the ways you can help make a difference include volunteering as an online career mentor, networking with fellow alumni at regional events, reconnecting with your department, and offering internships to UNH students. Read about ways you can help UNH at www.alumni.unh.edu/mobilize.

You should have received the fall issue of the CEPS newsletter. In it you will find information about membership, upcoming events and things that our students and faculty and alumni are doing.  I look forward to working with you as the college moves forward. I hope we can count on your ongoing membership in the Society.

Best wishes,
John Smith, ME ‘50
President

You can help strengthen the society and the college by contacting your friends and classmates who are CEPS Alums. Tell them about the Society and what is happening on campus. Members receive the bi-annual edition of the CEPS Alumni Society Newsletter and event announcements. Additionally, if there is something you would like to see the CEPS Alumni Society become more involved with, feel free to drop us a line at ceps.alumni@unh.edu.

Life-time Members:

If you are currently a life-time member, these changes do not effect your membership status.

For more information on Society benefits, call Associate Dean Bob Henry at 603-862-3131, e-mail us at ceps.alumni@unh.edu or visit the CEPS college home page.

We hope you will become involved with the society and join the hundreds that have already made it a success.

(All alumni and CEPS Society memberships are administered through the UNH Alumni Association.)
